Although many of the new devices releasing today are still running Android KitKat, OEMs are promising the Lollipop update. But at the same time, there are some good devices which runs Android Lollipop out of the box. These new devices are not just limited to high end or flagship category, but also the budget segment.

Here are Some Android Lollipop smartphones priced below Rs 7,000 available in India.

The device supports dual Sim and packs 2000mAh battery. The device is priced Rs 6999.

Lenovo A7000

Smartphones with big screens are generally not very comfortable to holdyou need to hold them with one hand, and operate with the other. At 7.9mm, the A7000 is slimmer than the Redmi Note 4G (Rs.9,999), which has a thickness of 9.5mm, and weighs just 140g, which makes it easier to handle. Most phones with similar length and breadth easily weigh over 160-170gthe Redmi Note 4G weighs 185g and the YU Yureka, 155g.

The A7000 has a plastic body, but the materials used dont feel cheap or flimsy. The back panel, which comes off easily, has a soft matte finish. This has dual benefitthe phone remains smudge-free and makes it easier to grip on sweaty summer days.

Its a close fight between the A7000 and YU Yureka. Colours look richer on the Yureka. But the text is much easier to read on the A7000. If you are using the phone for reading e-books, Web browsing and writing mails, this phone might be a better option, though the screen is quite reflective.

Yu Yureka

It has a large 5.5-inch screen, one handed usage is not exactly a feasible option for most. Fortunately, the phone has its volume and power buttons on the right that also provide good travel and tactile feedback. The phone also is rather slim at 8.8mm and 155 grams, which certainly helps alleviate any concerns regarding its weight. The display is the highlight of the YU Yureka Plus. It is the sole reason for the Plus nomenclature. The phone gets a massive resolution bump. From the 720p panel of the Yureka, the Yureka Plus has a 5.5-inch full HD 1080p IPS display, which is further protected with a layer of Cornings Gorilla Glass 3. The Yureka Plus comes with quite a standard camera setup. The rear sensor is a 13-megapixel unit with a flash, while the one on the front has a 5-megapixel sensor, but theres no flash.

The core software is one of the highlights of the YU smartphones. YU smartphones run on a customised version of Android called CyanogenMod, which is developed by Cyanogen Inc. The Yureka Plus is an Android 5.1 Lollipop running CyanogenMod 12 out of the box.
