Best 4G LTE Enabled Smartphones below Rs 10000 in India


Indian mobile market is slowing getting into the 4G LTE with networking rolling out in few location. 2015 will be the year when 4G will be getting launched in many more cities. It is expected to expand to more cities in 2015 with Airtel and Reliance�s Jio taking up pace in expansion. Taking this into consideration, lot of mobile OEMs are not focusing on 4G LTE supported handsets as India supports TD LTE. We recently covered some of the best options for a 4G LTE handset below Rs 25000.

In the last couple of months, we have seen new 4G supported phones coming to India in the mid range and also the budget category. With the launch of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G and also Micromax YUREKA, there is stiff competition. So here is a list of 4G LTE supported phone below Rs 10000 in India. We will be updating the list when new devices launch in India.

Lenovo A6000


Lenovo A6000 is the latest contender to the low-end 4G smartphone market. Lenovo recently launched its most affordable 4G LTE smartphone in India.  However, the smartphone is not available for direct purchase, instead the interested buyers should register themselves on Flipkart and then try their luck on 28th January when the smartphone will go on sale.

Coming to the specifications of the device, the Lenovo A6000 sports a 5-inch HD IPS display of 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS out of the box with Vibe 2.0 UI. At the camera front, you will get 8MP fixed focus rear camera with LED flash, video recording capability and a 2MP front facing camera for video calling and selfie needs.

The quad-core processor is coupled with 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage and a micro SD card slot for memory expansion. Lenovo A6000 is the most affordable 4G LTE enabled smartphone available in the market. Apart from LTE, it also comes with 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS and micro USB for data transfer. The smartphone measures 8.2mm thick and weighs around 128 grams including 2300 battery. 

The Lenovo A6000 has been priced at Rs 6,999 in India and is currently available for registration. Registered users can buy the device on January 28th.

Nokia Lumia 638


Last month Nokia quietly announced their first LTE enabled device for India, Nokia Lumia 638 which runs Windows 8.1 on the Operating System front. The 4.5-inch FWVGA display (854�480 pixels) might not be able to satisfy you if you intend to buy a phone for multimedia purposes also. Windows Phone don�t generally come up with best graphic performances, hence, this phone comes with a decent 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor inside. With an internal storage of 8GB, support of MicroSD of upto 128GB, 5 megapixels autofocus camera and 1830mAh battery the phone is available at a price tag of Rs. 8,299 on the Microsoft Offical Store, but you can also purchase the smartphone from dealers near you.

Micromax Yu Yureka


A few days back, Micromax launched the Yu Yureka phone in exclusive partnership with Yu. The key feature of the phone is that it runs CyanogenMod 11 based on Android 4.4 Kitkat.

The phone comes with a 5.5-inch IPS display, a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core cortex-A7 chipset with 64-bit architecture, 2GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, a 13-megapixel primary camera with EXMOR sensor, a 5-megapixel selfie camera, and 4G LTE network support. The phone is priced aggressively at INR 8,999. 

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G


After the super hit show of Mi3, Redmi 1S and Redmi Note 3G, now Xiaomi has launched Redmi Note 4G and creating sensation in Indian market. The Note 4G is powered by Snapdragon 400 Processor with 2GB RAM and has Android 4.4 KitKat with Single SIM facility. It comes with a 5.5 inch HD display with IPS technology and it comes with 8GB internal storage which is expandable to 32GB via microSD card. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G has a 13MP rear and 5MP front camera for video calls and Selfie. The phone is powered by a massive 3200mAh battery. This handset is the real competitor of Micromax Yureka, spec wise the Redmi Note is damn impressive.

This Redmi Note 4G is priced at Rs 9,999 and now its available to purchase as flash sale exclusively on FlipKart.com. It is also being sold via Airtel India stores.

XOLO LT900


Xolo officially launched its first smartphone with 4G support in India, the LT900 at Rs. 17,999. The highlight of the Xolo LT900 is that it supports TDD LTE bands and it is one of the first 4G enabled phone in India. It comes with a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Dual-core Processor and has 4.7 inch HD display with 1GB RAM. The phone is now selling for Rs 7999.
